Second Amendment Armory Ordering and Shipping Process

How to order a firearm from Second Amendment Armory

Legally, when an individual wants to buy a gun through the mail they must have it shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. However if you do not have an FFL you can still order online.

Non-Licensee Orders

For non-licensee orders (i.e. you do not have a federal firearms license), please follow the steps outlined in this section to order a firearm from Second Amendment Armory. Not following these steps will result in a delay of your order.

  1. The first step in ordering a firearm from Second amendment Armory is to find a local licensed dealer or other FFL holder in your area that will perform the firearm transfer for you. You will need to get their permission to have a gun shipped to them from Second Amendment Armory. Most dealers will do a transfer for you for a small fee.
  2. The second step is to have the licensed dealer or FFL holder send us a copy of their license signed in ink. This can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to us. Be sure they include their telephone number and contact name as we are required to verify the license. They only need to send this once as it is kept on file until it expires.
  3. The third step, once we have the FFL on file, is for placing your order online, being sure to enter the FFL's info in the space for shipping address, and your information in the space for the billing address.
  4. Once we have all this information, we can then ship your firearm to the dealer's place of business and you can pick up your firearm from your local dealer of FFL holder provided that you meet all of your local, state, and federal laws. Please keep in mind that if you do not meet all of the local, state, and federal laws your licensed dealer or FFL holder will not deliver the firearm to you. Further, the firearm will be returned to Second Amendment Armory at your expense plus a 15% restocking fee. All shipping charges incurred as a result of the transaction are your responsibility. Please do not order if you cannot meet the local, state, and federal laws in your area.
  5. If you order and we have no FFL on file, we will e-mail you back explaining that you need an FFL, causing your order to be delayed. All items are subject to prior sale.

Do not e-mail for a return authorization number, if you do you will get a reply asking you to call. No returns are accepted COD. Shipping costs are not refundable. You, the customer, are responsible for paying shipping both ways.
  3. Returns of defective items: New products are guaranteed to be free of defects. Surplus items and used items are guaranteed to be as advertised and are SOLD AS IS. If the items appear defective or do not function, please call us at +1-707-276-6792. Some products that we sell are covered by the manufacturer's warranty that requires items to be sent directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair, not to Second Amendment Armory. 4. Damaged shipments: If an item is damaged during shipment keep all materials (boxes, packing lists, labels and merchandise included in the shipment.) This will help the claims process. 5. Surplus firearms and ammunition Remember, NRA grading standards do not really apply to military surplus firearms. We make every effort to accurately describe the condition of our military surplus items online and when you call. See our firearm grading guide for more information. If you have more detailed questions about the condition of an item, then please call at +1-707-276-6792 and we'll be happy to help. Note: if you don't order a handpick, don't assume you'll receive a nicer than average firearm. You will just get whatever's next on the shelf.
If you have trouble with ammunition, such as not feeding, not firing, or extracting, etc. check your firearm. Many times a customer will return ammunition that they report does not work, and it works perfectly when tested by us.
  6. We always hope you are satisfied with your order. To make sure you get everything you expect from Second Amendment Armory, we back your purchase with our 30 day inspection period. Customers who call after 30 days normally cannot return any items, after 30 days all sales are final. If you wait 30 days or more before you look at your order, and then find something wrong, unfortunately we can no longer accept returns after such an extended period of time.
